1. Amethyst
Amethyst is the purple variety of the quartz mineral species.
2. Ametrine
Quartz that displays bands of both purple and yellow is known as ametrine.
3. Citrine
Citrine is the yellow variety of quartz, and its name comes from the Old French word for lemon.
4. Quartz Star
5. Rose Quartz
Rose quartz is one of the many quartz varieties used as a gem material. It gets its name from its delicate pink color, which ranges from very light (almost white) to medium-dark. The most appealing color typically occurs in larger sizes, and small rose quartz specimens with good color tend to be rare. Rose quartz is always found in massive form, so it lacks regular, flat crystal faces. It’s typically found in pegmatites, but also occurs in hydrothermal veins.
6. Rutilated Quartz(කෙදි පලිගු)
Quartz is usually quite harmless unless broken or powdered. Broken crystals and masses may have razor-sharp edges that can easily cut skin and flesh. Handle with care. Do not grind dry since long-term exposure to finely ground powder may lead to silicosis.
7. Milky Quartz
Milk quartz or milky quartz is the most common variety of crystalline quartz. The white color is caused by minute fluid inclusions of gas, liquid, or both, trapped during crystal formation, making it of little value for optical and quality gemstone applications.
8. Smoky Quartz(දුම් පලිගු)
Smoky quartz is a brownish grey, translucent variety of quartz that ranges in clarity from almost complete transparency to an almost-opaque brownish-gray or black crystals.
9. Onyx
Onyx is the parallel-banded variety of chalcedony, an oxide mineral. Agate and onyx are both varieties of layered chalcedony that differ only in the form of the bands; agate has curved bands while onyx has parallel bands. The colors of its bands range from black to almost every color.
10. Tiger's eye
Tiger's eye is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock with a golden to red-brown colour and a silky lustre.
11. Agate(අගස්ති)
agate, common semiprecious silica mineral, a variety of chalcedony that occurs in bands of varying colour and transparency.
